Taming the Wild Ego

What if you never took credit for the work you did?

What if the world only knew you from the products of your imagination?

"The World Before Me" is my new motto.

You do seem to get some rotten deals - but I think you are right not to be associated with something that doesnt seem right for you any more. I must learn not to 'show off' about successes and treat them just like I do failures. .. as the process of art making is the most important.

I look forward to seeing the new Union Jack (English name for our flag) design.

Oh and thankyou so very very much for your kind words on the sunflower zentangle. If I new I could mail it to you easily I would willingly create it in an oil version for you as a thankyou for all your support and inspiration. I think I must get myself a new roll of canvas to cut to size and send it without stretchers. What do you think???? Must prepare the riverside exhibition work I need ready for Easter and work for one or two other Spring shows, but I promise you I will do it when I have a lull later in the year and then I'll ask for your address.

Joan I don't know what to write here.

I am so touched by your offer.

How about a trade? I'm creating a painting of Rose Pearl (Rose is for the flowers you paint and Pearl is for your pearls of wisdom that you have given me).

Rose Pearl is the R2D2 of the Grandfather Green Tie universe.

I believe the novel will be successful and then you'll have the original painting of the magical creature you inspired with your wonderful comment.

I'm doing something special with your Union Jack but that is a secret.

Sorry, but I have to smile a little. Not at you - absolutely not - but how well your blog entry matches my latest.

Oh lucky me - not only an exchange but the incredibly magical creature ROSE PEARL. I am simply honoured. That will mean so much to me - Its a deal, but please be patient as I am very busy at present preparing for Spring events. Cant believe a re-incarnation of me shall be in one of your novels. I bags first edition, first copy off the press please.

Desiree

I laughed so hard when I read your post. I hope you liked the comment I left. Your blog was one the blogs I couldn't leave a comment on, so I hope that problem is gone.

Thanks Desiree

I played with too many widgets and I'm still in the process of cleaning up my computer.

That is why in this latest construction of my blog will look simple.
