Whale Wednesday: A Whale of a Tale

At 12:30 PM my daughter-in-law called.

"Hi Robert, would you watch Cordelia today?"

"Sure I miss her."

I take her to see Toy Story 3.

At the movie she was an angel. After the movie not so much but I still had fun. I don't want to have a perfect grand daughter, that wouldn't be fun at all.

"Cordelia do you know what Whales are?"

"Yes Grand Da, I know they real!"

"How do you know they are real?"

" I saw them swim with mermaids on the video."

My mind is dumb founded and I begin to laugh.

I've decided to put my Baby Blue Whale in a space suit. I think I can make it cheaper than trying to make realistic whale skin.

Whale Wednesday; Baby Blue Project Update

Here are photos of the process of starting the Baby Blue Project. The concept is a 25 foot model of a baby Blue Whale as a skate board float. Skate boarders would use their skate boards to move the weighted inflatable whale along a parade route.

In the lower photos you see my unfinished mural designs. Only the History of Robots was made into a mural at a museum. I found out a week ago it has been painted over. The Dinosaur and Riverboat were rejected early on by the museum I worked for.
I plan to finish all three now as I get ready to pitch to another museum.

I've started to design a skateboard float in the shape of a Baby Blue Whale. I hope to have some pictures up soon of this project.

Each Wednesday I'll be posting something about whales. I've never seen a whale and know very little about these wonderful animals but I feel the killing of whales must stop and I hope to add my voice to the protest against whaling.
