a good deed?

The broken shards that once were the rib over my heart caused me great pain as I took a break from my spring cleaning. I was starting to feel sorry for myself when someone knocked on the front door. My parents were gone for a few hours shopping.

I went to the front door hoping it wouldn't be a door to door salesman.

The man that stood on the front porch was dressed in old clothes.

"The stuff at the end of your drive....could I have some of it?"

I was setting out old furniture and yard care equipment for my home town's spring trash day.

"Sure take what you want and thanks for asking."

I almost shut the door but I saw his car. I wish I could tell these true life stories without sounding crazy but I'm so very tired of lying to try to fit in with the world.

I looked at his car and remember a faded memory of a vision I had so many years ago.
An old car with paint flaking off and bald tires. A man that needed tires.

I had bought the best tires I could find for my old van before I gave it to my son Mark.

I remembered the man asking me if I wanted to pay ten dollars to have the old tires recycled.

The tires still had tread but what did I need old tires for?

I saw the flash of the old car and a man that needed tires in my head and said no.

I remembered the future. I remembered the last day in April in 2009. I remembered a man that needed tires. I gave him those tires I had keep for so many years for no rational reason.

I thought he was going to cry for a moment as he showed his almost flat bald tire on his driver side. He didn't even have the money to fix a flat. He took the tires home.

A good deed? Sometimes you can't listen to your rational mind. Sometimes its better to remember the future in the past so you can help someone in the present.

Such a magical life I have and I complain about a little pain from a broken rib. Shame on me.

I wondered on reading the title what good deed you had done yet again - you have such a good heart. The tyres (English spelling) story was intriguing but then I love your way of mixing up gender and time. My 'deja vues' are never as fascinating. BTW, loved your belief post.

Thanks Joan

I wonder if I did the good deed or was I used to do the good deed?

On mixing up gender and time, I'm having some trouble accepting this aspect of my One Soul belief system as I'd like to think I could only be male through all my past lives but that seems false.

I don't have any memories of being female or gay in a past life but at some point the spirit world must go beyond gender and I'm having trouble dealing with this concept.

Thanks nidhi S

I try to write about things that scare me and my visions and do scare me more than I like to think about.

This was a positive outcome to a vision but sometime I'm not so lucky.

As for the style of my writing, I feel this blog is bringer of a better way of writing for me.

Comments have helped me write in a more positive way.

I don´t live in that kind of house anymore where people would come and beg. Sometimes I wish I still did. There is good sides in that.

Thanks, I love your posts too:)

Everything I gave the man was going in a land fill so it was a good deed for the planet too.

I read your blog Sunday but there where no real time to stop and comment (my Sunday was kind of a tought day).

It was so great of you to give him your tires.

Most people who tend to collect old stuff they don't really need have a hard time to get rid of them, because they can allways be used some place (which in general means that they never be used because they can always be sued somewhere).

I have made a vow to myself to stop being a pack rat. I'm wasting a lot of time just moving things around.

I'm like many artists that use found objects in their art, I found too many objects.

I think this was the only time I keep something because I had a vision I should give it to someone in the future.

I don't worry about being sued.
I feel if I do the right thing, everything will be all right.

Oh, spelling error. I didn't mean "sued", but "used". A little bit of irony intended. Sorry about that.

How funny I took it that way.

I should have seen it as a spelling error.

Great story - I've been studying strange coincidences in my life and notice that most of them could b 'explained' by well, pretty much psychic flashes. If you believe such a thing is possible, it takes the coincidence out of many 'synchronicities."

I do believe in visions or flashes from the future. I believe just having a vision can change the future in ways are human minds can't understand.

Thanks for the comment.

Just visited your sight. Very helpful. Plan to explore it more in detail.

Your website is a more rational look at subjects I try to write about in this blog.
